UH Samaritan's Open House for new Cancer & Infusion Center

University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center invites the public to tour the new UH Seidman Cancer and Infusion Center, located at 350 Hillcrest Drive in Ashland. Tours will be offered Thursday, November 16 from 4-6 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce at 5 p.m.

Dr. Catherine Jones, UH Samaritan’s new, full-time oncologist, will also be at the event to meet the public. She joined UH Samaritan at the end of September.

Infusion centers provide specialized care by clinicians skilled in administering infusion therapy, which is the delivery of medication through a catheter or needle. While infusion therapy is widely known for its use with chemotherapy, it is used to treat infections unresponsive to oral antibiotics, gastrointestinal disease, immune deficiencies and more.

UH Samaritan’s infusion center features 9 private infusion rooms, in addition to clinical examination rooms for patients seeing Dr. Jones.
