UH Seidman Cancer & Infusion Center

The UH Seidman Cancer and Infusion Center at Samaritan Medical Center is located at 350 Hillcrest Drive, beside the hospital. Patients who have an appointment will be seen here, as well as patients undergoing infusion therapy.

What is an Infusion Center?

Infusion centers provide specialized care by clinicians skilled in administering infusion therapy. Since patients can spend a significant amount of time undergoing infusion therapy, the trend is to offer an offsite infusion center versus one located in a hospital. This is both more comfortable and more convenient for the patient and their loved ones. Since we have onsite registration at the UH Seidman Cancer and Infusion Center, infusion therapy patients report directly to this unit.

Infusion therapy, which is the delivery of medication through a catheter or needle, is most commonly known for its use with chemotherapy. In addition to treating cancer, infusion therapy is used to treat infections unresponsive to oral antibiotics, gastrointestinal diseases, immune deficiencies and more.
