A fad diet is a diet that is popular for a time. It is touted as the latest and the greatest, the diet to end all diets. A fad diet is similar to fads in fashion - some stand the test of time while others are soon considered hideous. Fad diets are often promoted as requiring little effort and producing a "quick fix". Are all new diets great? Are all new diets hoax and hype? Join us as we ask Hannah Solomon, MS, RDN, LD, Clinical Nutrition Manager for UH Samaritan these very questions.
